THE AIMS

To serve the members of the Scottish Seafood Exchange by assisting them:

  • To attract new business while maintaining existing relationships;

  • To have access to wider sources of supply and new markets;

  • To increase cashflow and liquidity and so maximise potential profits.

  • To draw up long term strategies and react rapidly to short term bumps in an increasingly volatile market place…whether due to the imposition of new regulations or storms at sea.

By promoting traceability and quality management, the Scottish Seafood Exchange will support the industry in its efforts to improve the quality of all fish and shellfish sold through the Scotsea trading system.

By establishing an effective market authority, the Scottish Seafood Exchange will seek to establish a secure business environment for its members where sellers can be relied on to deliver and buyers to pay on time.
